Polypropylene (PP)

Flame retardants, compounds and fillers

Polypropylene is one of the most commonly used thermoplastics in the world. Its uses range from plastic packaging, plastic parts for machinery and equipment and even fibres and textiles. Its insulation properties make it safe to use for plastic casing in electrical goods and cables. In the automotive industry, polypropylene is used, for example, for battery casings, bumpers or instrument panels.

Polyamide (PA)

Flame retardants, compounds and fillers

Polyamides are mainly used in the electrical sector and, increasingly, in electric vehicles due to their favorable physical and electrical properties, high heat stability and good chemical
resistance. In the automotive industry, they are used for wire and cable jacketing, cooling fans, air intake, valve and engine covers, brake and power steering reservoirs and speedometers. Polyamides are also used for power tool housings and for many electrical/electronical parts including switches, sockets and plugs.

2 Collection, processing and use of personal data

Personal data is any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person (e.g. name, address, telephone number, date of birth or e-mail address). In principle, you can use our online offer without providing personal data. However, the use of certain services may require the disclosure of personal data, e.g. registration or participation in a competition. Mandatory fields are regularly marked with a *.

3 Processing Purposes

We process your personal data for the following purposes:

- Provision of this online service

- Performance of contract according to our Terms & Conditions

- Usage analysis to improve our online services

- Abuse prevention and defense

- Self-promotion as well as market research and coverage measurement to the extent permitted by law or based on consent

4 Passing on data to third parties

4.1 Disclosure of data to third parties

Your personal data will only be passed on to third parties by us if this is necessary to fulfil the contract, if we or the third party have a justified interest in passing it on or if you have consented to this. If data is transferred to third parties on the basis of a legitimate interest, this is explained in these data protection provisions.

In addition, data may be transferred to third parties if we are required to do so by law or by an enforceable official or court order.

4.2 Service providers

We reserve the right to use service providers for the collection or processing of data. Service providers receive from us only the personal data that they require for their specific activity. For example, service providers may provide this online service or service providers for delivery and payment processing. As a rule, service providers are integrated as so-called contract processors who may only process the personal data of the users of this online service in accordance with our instructions.

4.3 Transfer of data to non-EEA countries

We also disclose personal information to third parties or contract processors located in non-EEA countries. In this case, we will ensure that the recipient either has an adequate level of data protection (e.g. by self-certifying the recipient for the EU-US Privacy Shield or by agreeing to EU standard contractual clauses of the European Union with the recipient) or that our users have given their consent.

5 Duration of Storage; Retention Periods

We store your data for as long as is necessary to provide our online services and the associated services, e.g. for delivery and billing, or we have a legitimate interest in further storage. In all other cases, we will delete your personal data with the exception of data that we must retain to comply with contractual or statutory (e.g. tax or commercial) retention periods. In such cases, contractual retention periods may also arise from contracts with third parties (e.g. holders of copyrights and ancillary copyrights). In this case, we restrict the processing until the expiry of this period in accordance with the statutory requirements.

6 Your rights

6.1 Rights of data subjects

They have a right to information and - under certain conditions - to correction, deletion, restriction of processing or objection to the processing of their personal data and to data transfer.

You can also object to the processing of your personal data for advertising purposes at any time ("advertising objection"). Please note that for organisational reasons there may be an overlap between your revocation and the use of your data within the framework of an ongoing campaign.

If you have given us permission to process your data, you can revoke it at any time with effect for the future. The legality of the processing of your data until revocation remains unaffected.

Please use the information under Contact to assert your rights. Please ensure that we are able to uniquely identify you.
